I developed a passion for art at a young age, first discovering a love of drawing before turning to acrylic painting in high school. After earning a BFA in Film and Screenwriting from DePaul University, I realized that my true calling was in painting. During the quarantine of 2020, I returned to painting with a renewed sense of purpose and passion. It was then that I began to recognize my artistic voice and committed myself to pursuing a career as a professional artist.

Working primarily in oil, I specialize in portraiture, landscape painting, and figure in the landscape, with portraiture being my greatest passion. For me, a successful portrait goes beyond simply reproducing a person's features. It is about revealing something of who that person is and creating a connection between the subject and the viewer. I am particularly interested in the way dramatic lighting, expressive color, and confident brushwork can bring a portrait to life while preserving the recognizable qualities that make each individual unique. My portraits combine a highly realistic likeness with a painterly, traditional approach, using expressive brushwork, rich color, and thoughtful handling of light to create a sense of depth and life.

My landscape work is guided by a strong sensitivity to place, with recurring inspiration drawn from the landscapes of Italy and coastal beach scenes. Across my portraits, landscapes, and figurative work, I am especially interested in capturing light, color, and luminescence, while conveying a sense of movement and presence. I strive to create paintings that communicate not only what is seen, but also what is felt—the atmosphere, emotion, and experience within a moment.

Since beginning my professional art career, I have maintained a steady demand for commissioned work while continuing to expand and refine my artistic practice. I approach each commission as an opportunity to create something deeply personal: a painting that honors the individuality of the subject while standing on its own as an expressive work of art.
